I work for Sears and I sell large appliances. Try calling this number. 1-800-446-2574 ext. 1649 and ask for Sean Herron. He is the sales representative for Whirlpool that covers our area and he did two terms in Iraq. He is the Sears Account Manager and if anyone can help you it would be him.
Tell him that Bob from the Sears on the Lawrence Ave. Store in Chicago told you to call him. I respect him and he respects me. I did 6 years in Naval Air during the Viet Nam war.
Sean is a Marine so I know he will go out of his way to help you. My father was a Marine.
Admiral Corp.
Admiral was a medium-sized manufacturer of consumer electronics goods and electric appliances during the late 1930s, when its annual sales were about $2 million. Led by Ross D. Siragusa, the company grew rapidly during the 1940s and 1950s, selling thousands of televisions manufactured at plants in Chicago. By the beginning of the 1960s, when annual sales approached $300 million, the company employed 8,500 people, many of them Chicago-area residents. Like many American electronics manufacturers, Admiral found it difficult to withstand foreign competition during the 1960s and 1970s. By the 1980s, the remnants of Admiral were owned by Maytag, an Iowa-based manufacturer of appliances.
I have a dining room set, refrigerator, stove, washer, dryer that I would like to sell, and I want to know if there is anyone that will come into the house and give me estimates?
It's not worth the time of a second hand store owner to come to your house for used appliances, and a dining room set, just to have you say that you will sell it yourself. I would suggest that you check craigslist.com for similar items, and post your items for sale there. If a buyer wants to be sure that you have fully paid for what you are selling, have your receipts handy. Only accept cash, and know the location of the nearest ATM, so you can send the buyer there if he wants to pay by check. For safety, have someone else at home with you when the buyer is scheduled to be there.
